We only work with photographers who are trained professionals and have been shooting weddings on Maui for a minimum of seven years. Professional photographers in Maui are expensive but you should want only the best to capture your Maui wedding and these memories of a lifetime. After all, those are the images that will be with you forever. The smallest Maui photo package, which is perfect for the couple only, includes either 24 photos and all negatives in a small wedding album OR professional digital photos including sixty photos on a high resolution photo CD without an album or prints. You can always create your own custom photo package. Please ask about individual prices. We can send you a list of photographers that we work with including their websites, services and prices.
Most photographers will offer packages which include 36, 48, 60, 100 or more wedding photos. Remember that if you are bringing family and friends, the family portraits will be a big part of every Maui wedding celebration, so the larger the photo package, the more individual and romantic shots you will get.
In today's Maui wedding photography, the natural approach is what most couples are looking for: taking the photo of you and the setting spontaneously. Whether you are having a fun Maui beach or elegant Maui wedding in a garden or resort, the photographer's goal is to capture your Maui wedding day as it happens naturally with a photojournalistic approach along with beautiful environmental portraits. They strive to photograph the details of your Maui wedding from the moment you walk down the aisle, throughout the whole ceremony, to family and group photos and romantic morning or sunset shots.
You can also book a Maui photographer for a half or full day, have them shoot engagement pictures on a secluded Maui beach the day before or after your Maui wedding. You may also purchase parents albums for an additional price.
There are three different styles of photography: digital, medium format, and 35 mm with digital being the best and most sought after these days. The prices quoted below are those of our preferred house photographers who we will select for you. In addition we work with lots of different photographers who offer higher end photo packages and artistic photography.
Digital photography is considered to deliver the best quality. The advantages of digital is that is combines the quality of medium format with the flexibility of 35 mm. Unless you have an ideal situation, the lighting in Hawaii can be difficult. With digital photography, the ability to shoot spontaneously and take advantage of a situation candidly is huge. Depending on the photo package, the photographer will do touch ups for an additional fee. Digital photos will give you the best quality and will combine the formal portrait with the less posed, candid and informal shots. With the prices quoted below, the photographer will give you the images on a high resolution photo CD without an album and without any prints. You are welcome to purchase a photo album including 36, 48 or more prints for an additional price.

It is one thing to have your Hawaii wedding on Maui photographed by a professional photographer and an entirely different one to capture your special Maui wedding day on film. A professionally shot Maui wedding video is highly recommended. It is a beautiful reminder of those precious hours and a great gift to yourself to share with your family and friends.
Your Maui wedding video will show all the important moments of your Hawaii wedding Ceremony on Maui. Your video starts out with a "Scenes of Maui" segment. Next are graphic overlays of your name and wedding date. Then establishing shots of your wedding location and pre-ceremony shots (portrait shots, friends and family arriving, or final preparations of the bride and bridesmaids). Next your complete Maui wedding ceremony is taped: Your arrival, walking down the aisle, the entire Hawaiian wedding ceremony with your Hawaiian minister's welcoming chant, Hawaiian or classical music, Hula dancing, conch shell blowing, exchange of wedding vows and rings, Hawaiian blessing if desired, signing of your marriage license, sparkling cider or champagne toast, cutting of your special Maui wedding cake, release of doves or butterflies and every step down the way. We use videographers with broadcast-quality cameras and professional-quality wireless microphones. After the ceremony the videographer works closely with the photographer, videotapes portraits and frames romantic shots with dramatic backdrops such as stunning beach sunsets, Maui vistas or beautiful resort surroundings. Then they "polish" your tape at their state-of-the-art production studio creating a superior edited video. You can have your choice of music or they use their favorites. The finished edit master is dubbed to broadcast-quality DV-CAM format and used to create your high-quality VHS or DVD master. And don't forget, value-added options such as a Freeze-frame montage and DVD's are also available.
There is a new and exciting way to share your special Maui beach or garden wedding ceremony with those loved ones who are not able to join you in person on your wedding day. It is called Live Webcasting. A destination wedding is a dream come true for many wedding couples. Up until recently however, there was no way for parents and grandparents, friends and relatives who'd stay back home, to be a part of this special moment in both your lives. But not there is: For all those, a Life Maui Webcast is a great and very touching alternative.
On the day of the event, a broadcast producer will run the live video of your Hawaii Wedding for all of your family and friends to see. This Life Webcast includes shots of the surrounding, the arrival of the Bride, the Hawaiian ceremony including chanting and conch shell blowing, sharing of leis and rings, wedding vows, music and so much more. After the ceremony, you and your attending guests will have the opportunity to say a few words to your "audience." The total broadcast time is about 25 minutes.
Upon signing up, a special RSVP page will be provided to you. Once on the list, your viewers will receive all the instructions they need to watch your wedding while it is happening. Reminder messages prior to your wedding will be sent out as well.
The video will be available online for streaming playback for 4 weeks.
