Maui Wedding on HALEAKALA Volcano: House of the rising sun.
Celebrate your Hawaii Wedding on Maui's and Hawaii's highest wedding location in more than 10,000 feet elevation! Come and enjoy your Ceremony at the center of Maui's spiritual forces. Maui Weddings can take place at sunrise, sunset or during the day. When the sun's first rays pierce through the darkness, speeding over the magnificent crater of Haleakala, the 2 hour drive up to the summit is forgotten. The crater is 3,000 feet deep, 7.5 miles long and 2.5 miles wide and is the largest dormant crater in the world. Haleakala is an active but currently not erupting volcano. The last activity was in 1790.
As the sun continues its slow climb into the sky you will feel as if you are standing on top of the world. All of Maui is at your feet. Across the ocean, to the West are the islands of Lana’i Moloka’i and Kahoolawe. To the East Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa, the two majestic volcanoes of the Big Island of Hawaii. From the beginning of time, Haleakala has been a sacred site to the Hawaiians. It is cold up there with temperatures averaging around 50 degrees and the wind can be icy. Please keep this in mind when selecting your Maui wedding attire.
Maui wedding on a sailboat :
Get married on Maui while cruising the ocean in a sailboat with the shores of Maui and in whale season a humpback or two as your back ground. There are several sail or motorboats to choose from. We have our favorites that are large enough to guarantee a smooth sail. We can also offer catered dinner parties after your wedding or for a rehearsal dinner.
